The top was cut from a thick board and bookmatched to create nice symmetry. The edge detail is a partial round with a long bevel underneath to give the top a thin appearance while retaining its strength. |

The
column turning keeps a traditional look. I've given the bulb a
bit of visual weight, as if it is being affected by gravity.

The
feet are a trick. They go from being slightly curved at the
column to being arris shaped at the toe, smoothly transitioning
between. The foot is complete with a beaded sole. |
Made of South American Mahogany. The tea table was finished with linseed oil, shellac, Waterlox varnish and paste wax. |
