	Jane's Bed was designed to be a simple and clean design with a few practical details. One of them is the tilted headboard, which acts more as a back rest when sitting up in bed reading. The tilt gives opportiunity for the triangular facet on the top of the upright to be shown off.
	Slightly domed corners give the bed an inviting feel. Magnetic mushroom plugs cover the bed bolts which hold the piece together.

Jane's Bed is made of Black Walnut with poplar slats. It is shown here made for a king-size mattress. Central feet (not shown) are used to support the sleepers and mattress. It is finished with linseed oil, Waterlox varnish and paste wax.

A variation on the original- The rear posts have been cut from a thick piece of lumber to allow the headboard to be more angled. This is a queen size Jane's Bed in Cherry.
