The headboard features a subtle curve along its length-
a nod to the other elements in the bedroom set. The
molding on top is made of bent laminations, and the rail
and panels are shaped to match the curve as well. The
panels are only slightly raised as an understated
detail.

Made of Black Walnut and butternut. This piece was part of a bedroom set whose design was inspired by one of my favorite furniture designers, Edward Barnsley. It was built to go with a metal frame, but could easily be built to accept side rails and a matching footboard. It is finished with linseed oil, shellac and wax. |
