The
headboard is joined to the side braces with a massive dovetail
joint. No secrets or tricks with this, just pure precision work.

For
ease of transportation the entire bed comes apart; the frame, slats,
feet and headboard assembly. A combination of bolts and
connectors are used to secure the bed when it's in place, making a
sturdy, and rigid piece. The canted feet further brace the bed
and add to it's modern design.

| Made
of Red Oak, the Clark Bed was a hybrid of a few ideas, erring towards a
midcentury modern design. It is finished with linseed oil,
