The sides of both the tray and
bread box are joined using a through compound angle dovetailed joint.
The sloped sides make for difficult joinery that require more steps than
a standard straight sided box. |
| Made of reclaimed Chestnut with American Elm bottoms. This was a quick work in order to cover the issues that arise when dovetailing at a compound angle. Finished with linseed oil, padded shellac and wax. It was given to my good friends Chris and Mia for their wedding in 2012. |
